Painted Appliques

Thanks for inviting me to do a workshop about a favorite technique I developed with artist Marni Maree. Using transparent acrylics with aloe as a solvent we created a permanent watercolor-like effect on Thermafoam drapery liner (which doesn’t ravel when cut for appliques) or Tyvek or note cards.

I’ll supply everything needed for the workshop including a 20x20 inch fabric for each. I have many brushes and a large variety of colors. I’ll also bring a light box if you would like to trace a design you bring.

It’s not a very messy project. I’ll supply plastic tablecloths but I advise you not to wear your best clothes.
