Antique Quilts: Who is Mary Koval and How did she get here?

Mary Koval is a leading expert in the field of American Quilts and Antique fabric. She has been instrumental in the formation of private collections and handles hundreds of exceptional quilts.   She exhibits in major antiques and quilt shows and has assembled quilt exhibits for museums and other venues all over the world. Mary has authored several books and contributed articles to major quilting magazines. 

In addition, she is a fabric designer for Windham fabrics and owns and operates Mary’s Quilt Shop and Mary’s Retreat Center in Bedford, PA.

Mary's lecture will cover how she came to love antique quilts and how she learned to analyze them from the perspective of originality and form.  Her presentation will include an exhibit of examples of wonderful antique quilts from her collection.
