This year’s quilt show theme and challenge is called Just Piece It! It’s inspired by my love of jigsaw puzzles. When I am making a quilt, I imagine all the pieces I’ve cut out have to go together, like a jigsaw puzzle. I believe that many quilters are also avid puzzle makers so everyone should relate easily to this topic.
For the Just Piece It! challenge, just about anything goes: strip piecing, English paper piecing, foundation piecing, hand piecing, etc.. Any completed quilt where the top has been pieced together can be included in this challenge. So use your imagination and Just Piece It!. There is a size restriction of no larger than 40”x 40”.
All quilts hanging in the 2018 QU show must be completed by the end of February 2018, in time to be photographed. They also need to have a label and a sleeve for hanging.
