HQU - Monthly Meeting, Quilters Mercantile PopUp, Scissor Man and Sew & Tell! (Alvey Elementary) (April 16, 2026)

This monthly meeting has a couple extras! In addition to the normal business update and Sew & Tell, we will have a popup shop with Becky Garringer from Quilters Mercantile. Also, our annual visit from the scissor sharpener takes place. Bring your scissors, knives or other items that need sharpening and have them done while the meeting takes places. You don't want to miss this fun evening!

Signup Now! - Members of all QU Chapters are invited to participate!

Relax and visit while the bus takes us to three fun destinations in the Dayton/Harrisonburg area. We start with the Virginia Quilt Museum followed by Patchwork Plus and finally So Classic Fabrics. You can bring a bag lunch/snacks/drinks and/or there are some options for grabbing snacks or lunch.

HQU Members and their guests are welcome to join our monthly Sit & Sew at the Warrenton Presbyterian Church. Bring your handwork or sewing machine (be sure and bring extension cords) and visit, share and enjoy stitching together. Bring a lunch or enjoy one of the local food options just a few steps away. This is a great way to get to know other HQU members!

You must be a paid 2025-2026 HQU member to sign up for this workshop.

The workshop is limited to HQU members. An email will be sent to HQU members with signup instructions, including a code to be used when signing up. The workshop is limited to 20 participants. The Zoom link will be sent to workshop participants a day or two prior to the workshop.
